COVID-19 Response Overview

On Feb. 2, 2020, Chancellor Joe Steinmetz convened a COVID-19 Response Team to assist the university’s Communicable Diseases Outbreak Committee in coordinating activities designed to support our community’s health and well-being and develop contingency plans to limit the impact to university operations. Some 14 subcommittees were assembled to address specific elements in contingency planning. More than 150 representatives from across campus participated in the subcommittee planning process, helping develop the university’s guidelines for returning to campus.
