Student Involvement

Pat Walker Health Center partners with students to help promote a healthy campus environment. Through a variety or peer education, internship and volunteer opportunities, students can get involved with campus health and wellness.


Student Health Advisory Committee

The Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) is a Registered Student Organization (RSO) that serves as a liaison between students and the health center. SHAC actively works to raise campus awareness about common health and wellness topics for students, and ensure students receive quality health care on campus. SHAC members also partners with health center leadership to improve current policies and programs available to students.

RESPECT is an award-winning peer education program of the Campus Sexual and Relationship Violence Center (SRVC). Through a variety of campaigns and initiatives, RESPECT interns help students understand the issues of sexual assault, relationship violence, and its risk reduction and prevention. Recent programs and events include Take Back the Night March, The Campus Clothesline Project, and That’s So 6%.


Wellness Coaching

Wellness coaching is a free program for currently enrolled students. Wellness coaching is designed to help students improve their lifestyle behaviors.
