What is the Relaxation Room?
The Relaxation Room offers a safe and relaxing space for University of Arkansas students to quiet their mind, reduce stress and restore themselves.
Our counseling staff is available to orient and train users on the various features of the room, which are listed below.
The Relaxation Room is located on the second floor of the health center in Counseling & Psychological Services.
The room is available for use Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (9 a.m. on Fridays). If you are interested in using in the room, or have any questions, please stop by CAPS or call 479-575-5276.
Who may use the Relaxation Room?
The Relaxation Room is currently available for use by all University of Arkansas students.
Students do not have to be a current client of CAPS to access the room, but must bring a current U of A student ID with them to use the room.
What does the Relaxation Room offer?
Aside from a quiet place to relax, the Relaxation Room offers several features and tools to assist in calming the mind, body and spirit, including:
audio guided relaxation and meditation activities.
iPads with meditation apps, as well as noise cancelling headphones are also available to checkout.
